Graciela is a Peruvian writer, researcher, and performer based in Chicago, working within the mediums of performance, writing, sculpture, and sound. She is a BFAW student at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) who explores the absurdity within contemporary society, and social dynamics within the United States from the perspective of immigrants, along with the topics of alienation, cultural misunderstandings, and barriers. Graciela has shown work internationally in cities across Peru, Spain, Mongolia, and the United States. As well as in venues such as Links Hall, Watershed Space, Compound Yellow, Mana Contemporary, Ohklahomo, NoNation, SAIC Galleries within Chicago, and Centro Cultural España, Lugar de la Memoria (to name a few). She has curated different exhibits in Lima where she developed research projects that address human rights within state policies and the educational system in Peru.
