Corinna Kloth is a filmmaker and visual artist from New Berlin, Wisconsin. She moved to Chicago at 18 to study filmmaking at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC). With a background in storytelling, Kloth first aspired to be an author before transitioning into screenwriting and directing. At SAIC, she has explored digital and 16mm film, working on independent and student productions. Her films have been featured in group screenings, including No Nation’s showcase of Koi’s Tree, a 16mm short, and The Grand Applause, a fashion short presented at Music Box Chicago. Kloth’s work explores themes of queerness, femininity, gender, sex, drugs, astrology, and spirituality, particularly witchcraft and the occult. She draws inspiration from the people around her, often creating video projects that highlight their stories and experiences, using film as a medium to capture personal narratives and unique perspectives.
