Yunkyung Lee 이윤경
Yunkyung Lee is a student art therapist in the MA Art Therapy and Counseling program at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC). She has a diverse professional background as an artist, theme park designer, and human services interpreter. Yunkyung has gained extensive experience through internships at Ascension Alexian Brothers and Linden Oaks Behavioral Health Hospitals, working with diverse patient populations, and volunteering at Little Friends’ Inklude Art Studio with adults with autism. Her approach to art therapy is grounded in authentic connections with individuals through art interventions, driven by curiosity, thoughtfulness, and creative consideration. This approach is informed by her personal journey as a mother of a child with special needs and her cultural competence as a Korean immigrant. Yunkyung is committed to fostering healing, growth, and advocacy through creative expression for underserved populations, including individuals with autism and those facing behavioral health challenges.
