Yijing Chen

Yijing Chen is an installation artist. She’s interested in how Chinese culture and art can be integrated with technological elements. Her works deal with expressing emotional themes through different senses and materials, exploring social, humanistic and emotional topics, whether it is family relationships or regional feelings.
Education: BFA, 2023, Art and Technology Studies, Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing, China; MFA, 2025, Art and Technology/ Sound Practice, School of the Art Institute of Chicago, IL, U.S.. Academic Experience: Undergraduate Thesis: ‘Research on the practice of oral narrative technique in sound art design’, advised by Xiaowen Chen. Group Exhibition: 2021, The work ‘Sealed’ was exhibited in the annual creative exhibition, Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing; 2023, the work ‘Retrospect’ was exhibited in 2023 Undergraduate graduates Exhibition, Central Academy of Fine Arts Art Museum, Beijing.
