benana sonjira is me and i am a multi-media artist, my main focus is on moving image and time-based work where i like working with clay, polygons, pngs, glass, paper mache and colored pencils to manifest and process my thoughts worries neurodivergences queerness mixed-ness and bodily movements (internal and external). I think a lot about family friends the ends of worlds and the beginnings of new ones. I was born in ohio and now chicago is my home. my work has been featured in festivals such as the Slamdance Film Festival, Onion City Film Festival, and Malt Adult.
