Clarice Hu (b. 2001, Hong Kong) is an oil painter based in Chicago. She is currently an MFA candidate at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and received her BA at Stanford University, California, in 2023. Hu’s works explore themes of oneness, transformation, and the esoteric principle of living nature. She takes inspiration from natural processes and patterns, fashion archives, language, as well as religious/mystical iconography to create biomorphic abstractions.
