Dan Greenwood received a BFA in Sound from the School of the Art Institute in 2000 since this time, he has been active as a performer of noise music, contributing to multiple do-it-yourself communities along the East Coast of the United States, including in Northampton, MA where he is from. Returning to the Art Institute to pursue a Master’s Degree in Art & Technology/ Sound Practices allowed the unique opportunity to research foundational memories of creative development with the perspective of life experience. The program has prompted an expansion of Greenwood’s work into ceramics and sculptural objects, creating a dialog with art history and entering the space of blank white walls.
