Dylan Pollock loves to have fun. As a creative director based in Chicago, with a primary focus in film & photography, one of the main focuses early on was to always make sure what they made was fun. As Pollock has evolved as an artist, and discovered photography, their works went from more satire and fun times, to digesting topics surrounding their memories, experiences, and relationships. Specifically pertaining to the ties of their hometown, St. Louis, Missouri. As their work continues to grow and develop, Pollock hopes to use the medium of cinema to tell these stories, and to create a sense of togetherness through shared experiences.

‘To Love That Which is Dying,’ is a project about the city of St. Louis, Missouri. This project is centered around nurturing and growing the love of something. In this project, Dylan Pollock tries to show how they have come to love their home. They photograph different neighborhoods within the city. Using an added collage element from the darkroom, it mixes different aspects from the one neighborhood to direct ties of the artist.
