Juliana Archivet
Juliana Achivet is a Chicago-based industrial designer, artist, and photographer from Mexico. Her work blends mixed media, functional design, and storytelling to create pieces that feel both strong and tender, often inspired by memories of a simple and meaningful childhood. She holds a degree in Industrial Design and Development from CEDIM in Monterrey. She is currently finishing her MFA in Designed Objects at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
Juliana has worked across fields such as graphic design, product photography, fabrication, and education. With a hands-on approach, she values the process just as much as the outcome. She has experience assisting in woodshops and design studios, supporting students through the technical and emotional challenges of making. Her design philosophy centers on empathy, community, and the quiet power of objects.
Whether prototyping furniture or capturing textures through a lens, Juliana’s practice is rooted in care, curiosity, and the joy of making.
