Shengjie Jiang (b. 1999, China) earned a BFA in Fine Arts from the School of Visual Arts (SVA) in New York and is currently pursuing an MFA in Painting at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC). Specializing in oil painting and pastel drawing, Jiang’s practice delves into the fluidity of memory and the ephemeral nature of nostalgia. Through intricate layers of color and texture, Jiang’s works capture the subjective and ever-shifting qualities of past experiences, navigating the delicate boundaries between memory and the present.
