Sisel Gelman was raised in Mexico City, and has lived in six other cities since then. Her work has been published +50 times in magazines like ANGLES Magazine, The Emerson Review, and FNewsMagazine. Sisel attended the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference during the summer of 2019, she was a finalist for the 2021 Boston Public Library’s Writer-In-Residence program, and she was a finalist in the upcoming reality TV show ‘America’s Next Great Author.’ She was a speaker at the 2024 International Publishers Congress, and she is the founder of SIEVA Magazine. Her writing has been nominated for two EVVY Awards, won first place at the 2023 ICPA Awards, and #siselgelman has +3.2 million views on TikTok. She holds a BFA in Creative Writing from Emerson College.
