Xiaohan Jiang
Xiaohan Jiang is a painter and poet based in Chicago. Xiaohan’s practice encompasses painting and poetry. Inspired by the pastoral landscapes of her childhood in Northern China, Xiaohan’s paintings invite viewers into a spiritual realm where imagery and text are transmitted through the vessel of poetry. The allegorical references also play a vital role in her work, reflecting narratives of redemption and rebirth that mirror her quest to navigate conflicting identities. Xiaohan is expected to complete her master’s degree at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2025. Her work has been exhibited at venues including Patient Info Gallery, Chicago; Art Club, Detroit; 4C Gallery, Los Angeles; and SHRINE, New York. In 2022, she held a solo exhibition, “Lowland Delusion,” at Août Gallery in Beirut, Lebanon.
