Zhen Tian

Master of Design in Designed Objects

My name is Zhen Tian, or you can call me Adam. I am from Beijing, China. I spent six years in Michigan, during which I earned a degree in Industrial Design from Kendall College of Art and Design. I am currently pursuing my graduate studies in the Design Object program at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. I always find in my studies that design is full of humanism and the spirit of exploration of new technologies, which is what the designers strive to achieve. I believe that industrial design encompasses many fields. One of them is in solving problems in society where designers need keen insight and the ability to summarize. It is not only to bring more innovation while satisfying the basic user experience. On the other hand, I think it requires a designer’s unique understanding of cultures to reflect better values of the product.
