Read Otherwise

In Read Otherwise, meaning emerges not only through words, but through gesture, ritual, and the body’s participation in acts of interpretation. By reworking familiar forms of communication into poetic and interactive structures, the artists create indirect ways of engaging desire, memory, conflict, and grief. The exhibition invites viewers into modes of understanding that are tactile, affective, and embodied. To read otherwise is to encounter meaning through feeling as much as through language.
