Michael Yang
Michael Yang is a multidisciplinary artist, curator, and researcher working across video, photography, sculpture, and performance. His practice focuses on outdoor, off-site, and site-specific forms, approaching site as a material, social, and perceptual condition rather than a neutral setting. Working through installations, image-based objects, and time-based interventions, he develops spatial situations that respond to the particular logic of a place—its structures, histories, uses, and tensions. Across different media, his work examines how location organizes experience, and how artistic gestures can unsettle, redirect, or intensify one’s relation to the surrounding world.
