Janice Yang’s work draws from her experience as a Korean American immigrant, engaging themes of labor, memory, and displacement. Referencing Korean folk symbolism, she constructs liminal, illusionistic spaces that exist between cultures and identities. Through symbolic imagery and material traces, her paintings connect everyday labor to fractured ideas of home and belonging.
