Jessica Paulin
Jessica Paulin is a Mexican sculptor working with ceramics and found objects to explore material culture across art, craft, and design. She earned a BFA in Industrial Design, and her practice moves between disciplines, using making as a form of inquiry into cultural narratives, sensory experience, and embodied knowledge. Working primarily with clay, she is drawn to its capacity for transformation and translation—its ability to hold memory while imitating or destabilizing other materials, producing forms that exist between recognition and ambiguity. Alongside this, she incorporates deliberately sourced objects, attentive to their histories and latent meanings, assembling them into compositions that reflect shifting relationships between material, identity, and place.
