Lauren Bertelson

Lauren Bertelson is an interdisciplinary artist who examines visibility, gender dynamics, the body, and the limitations of photographic representation through a combined photographic and sculptural practice. She is the recipient of the James Weinstein Memorial Fellowship (2026) and a SOURCE Grant (2022). Bertelson is pursuing an MFA in photography at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and holds a BFA in Art Photography from Syracuse University. Her work has been exhibited at Light Work, Ukrainian Institute of Modern Art, Studio 1608, Target Gallery, and other locations across the US.
