Liang He


Master of Fine Arts in Studio, Art and Technology Studies

Liang He (b. 2000 in Foshan, China) works with computers and drones in the expanded field of sculpture and installation. His research delves into the shifting politics and culture along with technological evolution. Driven by his research, he renders invisible dynamics experiential to replicate and counterbalance anxiety concerning human subjectivity under capitalism.

Liang He attained his BFA degree in Studio Art in 2022 and MFA degree in Art and Technology Studies from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2026, where he was awarded Presidential Merit Scholarship. In 2023, he received the Runner Up Prize from Evanston and Vicinity Biennial. His works are presented at Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago; The Wrong Biennale; Museum of Communication Frankfurt; The Ars Electronica Festival; Gene Siskel Film Center; Evanston Art Center; A4 Art Museum; SVA Flatiron Gallery; SAIC Galleries, among others.
