Qifan Wang

I am a filmmaker from Yunnan, China, currently based in Chicago, where I am completing my MFA in Film, Video, New Media, and Animation at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. My work focuses on narrative films that observe small, often awkward moments in everyday life. I am interested in drifting characters, fragile relationships, and the quiet absurdity of contemporary experience. Through simple situations, restrained performances, and subtle humor, my films explore how people navigate uncertainty, intimacy, and the strange emotional landscapes of ordinary life.
