Songyi Park is a 2D/3D concept artist and animator utilizing digital software to design textural and airy worlds. But more importantly, she views storytelling as a gateway to explore everything bittersweet about linguistics, cybernetics, automation, and intimacy.
Fascinated by cyborgian and posthumanism philosophies, her work tugs at and expands absolute demarcations made about the material body and cybernetics. Through synthesizing two concepts in tension: human and computation, perhaps we can learn more about our own fickle humanity through examining what happens during this moment of slippage.
