Yoanna Ball

Yoanna Ball is a Phoenix-based artist, writer, and scholar whose work moves between poetry, philosophy, and visual art. She is currently completing an MFA at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and pursuing a PhD in Art, Philosophy, and Social Thought at the European Graduate School. Her practice explores fragmentation, memory, temporality, and the instability of language through interdisciplinary forms that combine poetic writing, critical theory, and visual experimentation. Drawing from thinkers such as Martin Heidegger, Maurice Blanchot, and the poetry of César Vallejo, her work investigates how absence, rupture, and material conditions shape human experience and perception.
