Zhongxuan Niu
Zhongxuan Niu is a photographer and visual artist from Shenyang, China, currently living in Chicago. Her work explores space, memory, and identity through contemporary photography. Growing up in different cities made her sensitive to how environments shape personal experience and everyday perception.
She often focuses on overlooked urban spaces such as small residential playgrounds and neighborhood streets. Influenced by early-2000s dreamcore aesthetics, her work reflects on memory, displacement, and how ordinary places can become sites of imagination and emotional refuge.
