Anthony Johnson
Anthony Johnson is a Chicago based Illustrator, screenwriter, and 2D, 3D and Stop Motion animator. He is developing his skills in storytelling, storyboarding, and narrative. He’s a graduating film, video and new Media student at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and currently working on his skills in taxidermy, Entomological Preparation, and scientific illustration skills and has done extensive studies in the area of animal behavior. Anthony’s recent animation, Teresita, explores identity, love and grief. An animated 2D short film inspired by the true life of Teresa, an immigrant navigating the vibrant yet daunting landscape of 1960s New York City. Everything changes when she mysteriously vanishes without a trace. The narrative is explored through the perspectives of Teresa, a concerned co-worker, Lenore, and her lover, Richard—weaving a complex tapestry of memory, devotion, and mental fragmentation.
